My favorite fashion brand is Vivienne Westwood. The luxury brand’s roots are founded in punk aesthetics and counter culture. The designer, Vivienne Westwood, maintains a strong ethos in social activism. She finds a way to tell a purpose-driven, yet compelling story with each collection she releases. Vivienne Westwood was one of the first major brands to break the silence around the fashion industries impact on climate change. Due to my love for sustainable fashion, I find this to be one of my favorite aspects of this brand. Her motivation is clearly communicated through her brand’s ethics and marketing. Integral to the start of her thriving career in fashion, she maintains an ability to marry the dichotomy of creating timeless garments while trial blazing principles of classic design. She knows she has a platform to make change. Instead of cowering in the corner, she stands tall with a conscious understanding to the world at large.
